Threadless: "Squeaked"

Are elephants really afraid of mice?  Hmm...  The jury is still out on that one but one thing I know is that this tee is pretty awesome!  "Squeaked" is the name of the tee and I found it on Threadless.  I am really feeling the orange/red (not sure what color exactly) elephant.  I think the oranredish elephant looks awesome on the grey background of the shirt.  Also I enjoy the imperfection of the elephant and the mice themselves.  I really enjoy the cartoonish look of this t-shirt and think it adds to the playfulness of the design.

The white mice themselves are rather cute.  How could such a big strong elephant be scared of tiny cute mice?  Same reason woman and men start screaming and jumping on chairs when they see them.  Overall a really fun design which will certainly get a few smiles when you wear it.

As I mentioned you can pick up "Squeaked" at Threadless for $18.  I think the price is very reasonable for such a fun clean t-shirt.  Some further information is that the shirt is printed with plastisol ink (not a huge fan of plastisol ink at all due to the impact on the earth) and chino additive for softness.  The creator of the design is Ross Zietz aka arzie13 (check out his stuff if you haven't).  Enjoy!

Design By Humans: "Just A Pile Of Chairs"

Let me start by saying that Design By Humans has not created any tees I have really liked for quite sometime.  The designs are just too much going on and verge on  tacky to me, however recently I did like one.  "Just A Pile Of Chairs" by reduce_reuse_recycle at Design By Humans is just that, a pile of chairs.  I really like the chairs and their contour lines.  This white tee also reminds me of when I was a kid.  I would take the furniture in my house and pile it to make a huge fort.  In fact, I would actually kind of like to try to balance that many chairs on top of once another!  haha

I find the arrangement of the chairs on this shirt to be so simple but also so intricate.  I am certainly loving this DBH t-shirt.  Apparently it was put on Threadless, but the artist didn't feel it was the best place for it.  You can pick it up for $24 because it is a premium tee.  A lot of people commented on the price, but sometimes big bright colors and tons of graphics don't make a great t-shirt.  Sometimes less is more.  Go get it if your feeling it!

Cotton Factory: "Leader Of The Pack

Sorry I don't have much time today but I still wanted to post something for all of you.

Here is "Leader of the Pack" which I found at Cotton Factory.  You can pick this tee for $15.99, not bad at all (that doesn't include shipping).

What I dig about this asphalt tee is the gloominess and darkness of it.  The color of the tee is asphalt, but the shirt itself almost looks as hard as asphalt.

Having the smoke turn into red birds is just awesome.  There is something liberating about this tee.  The bottom is so restricting and the top is so free.

It contrasts machine and industry with nature.  Perhaps our industries should be the Leader Of The Pack and make it so that we have a world which looks more like the top of the tee and less like the bottom of the shirt.

Violent Elegance: Trees For Tees

Violent Elegance is an awesome company and if you haven't heard of them check them out now!  The company is based in Berlin, Germany and produces simple tees with strong black and white prints as well as fluorescent prints.  The shirts are just so raw and that is what I like best.  There are 17 shirts up and all but one are white, it is black.  Some people hate white tees, but I love them.

The Violent Elegance shirts are hand printed on American Apparel tees and have free shipping worldwide!  All of the tees go for €29,00 (sorry I can't find the dollar value).  I did some basic math and based on a conversion of €1 = $1.32449, I came up with a price of $38.41 (hope I did that right).

Although I am a huge fan and have two of there t shirts the one I am focusing on today is the "Wood" tee.  This particular shirt is now printed on 100% organic cotton, which I am all about!  I love how organic this tee is, no pun intended.  What I meant by this is just how natural the design looks and raw.

What is Trees For Tees?  It is awesome, for every "Wood" shirt sold Violent Elegance will plant a Pinus sylvestris tree.  Apparently these trees will be planted in Berlin/Friedrichshagen,a new forest.  Support this awesome company and awesome cause!

Druks: "Air Druks"

Druks is a company which is out of Paris, France.  When I first went to the site it was all in French.  Besides visiting France last July and taking it in sixth grade, my knowledge of the language does not go past "bonjour".  You are in luck if you know as little French as I do because the site is also in English.

Somewhat contrary to the last post I did about Paste, Druks, "Cool tees for fresh kids" is all about over-sized prints and bright colors.  I will start by saying that these designs are not going to blow your mind at all!  The designs and text are simple and to the point, which is what I like about them.  Basic and bold is how I look at this brand and I like that.

I chose the "Air Druks" because I love how they used the t-shirt itself to create the shoe (very creative).  The design is well put together and is perfect if you are into kicks.  I am not a huge shoe person, but this shirt just looks right and has some swag to it, which I do enjoy from time to time, haha.  If you like bold fashion you can pick up this Euro tee for $44.09.
