DBH announced the winner of the Stone Temple Pilots contest today.  And the WINNER is... Episode33.  The name of this one is "Hold Your Hand", and it certainly held the attention of the band, because they actually chose this one!  Even if your not a fan, this is a fun one -- nice and simple.

Design By Humans: "Just A Pile Of Chairs"

Let me start by saying that Design By Humans has not created any tees I have really liked for quite sometime.  The designs are just too much going on and verge on  tacky to me, however recently I did like one.  "Just A Pile Of Chairs" by reduce_reuse_recycle at Design By Humans is just that, a pile of chairs.  I really like the chairs and their contour lines.  This white tee also reminds me of when I was a kid.  I would take the furniture in my house and pile it to make a huge fort.  In fact, I would actually kind of like to try to balance that many chairs on top of once another!  haha

I find the arrangement of the chairs on this shirt to be so simple but also so intricate.  I am certainly loving this DBH t-shirt.  Apparently it was put on Threadless, but the artist didn't feel it was the best place for it.  You can pick it up for $24 because it is a premium tee.  A lot of people commented on the price, but sometimes big bright colors and tons of graphics don't make a great t-shirt.  Sometimes less is more.  Go get it if your feeling it!

Design By Humans: "Modern Style"

I thought in this post I would share something I liked at a more well known site. I found this t-shirt at Design By Humans, also known as DBH.

"DBH is an ongoing t-shirt contest and community where artists and t-shirt lovers can create, buy, and talk aboout everything related to art and t-shirts."

“Modern Style” made me smile the first time I saw it because it was so darn simple. It uses geometric shapes to create this very modern looking design, which I love. Sometimes you want a t-shirt which is flashy and loud. Sometimes you want a t-shirt which is very detailed and in depth. Sometimes you want a t-shirt which is basic and bold; this is just that. The simplicity of this design with the colors is what really makes this work for me. This shirt just has it, enough said.

Some background on this shirt is that it was created by brilliancy, a member of DBH. The only thing we know about brilliancy is that they are from Finland and this is their first big win on the site, so congratulations!
